You may have heard:..."It comes from Rachel's tomb" or "It is an amulet for spiritual and physical blessing." or, "He protects me against the Aiyin Hara (evil eye) and jealousy. The truth is that the Red Thread offers you all this and much more.

The red wire : A bracelet for blessings. According to tradition, a ball of red yarn is wrapped seven times around the stone monument, which sits above Rachel's tomb, while reciting prayers in Hebrew as well as Psalm 33, the mystical prayer Ana b' Koach and the Asher Yatzar .
The Red Thread of this ball of wool is then cut. It should be worn on the left wrist to implore protection, as well as spiritual and physical blessings.
