 A little history...

The eternal flame in the great Menorah of the temple had to be lit. But the sacred olive oil needed required eight days to be pressed and then purified. The Jews only had one day's supply of oil. They decided, guided by faith, to light the flame anyway. And a great miracle happens. The oil vial filled itself every day with enough oil to relight the temple's great Hanukiah!
