Hanging a Wreaths and Pillars Glass Mezuzah on any doorjamb in a household is a Jewish tradition that is widely observed. Affixed to the glass tube is the Hebrew letter " Shin ".
Offer this object of worship for a young couple or on the occasion of a party or a wedding.
A little history...
The letter "Shin" is the twenty-first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It corresponds to the letter "S" of Western alphabets, its numerical value is 300 and its main meaning is "tooth". ... Shin comes from "shén", the "tooth", the teeth are the symbol of the vital force.
Shin opens the prayer….Shema Israel…..Listen Israel
The shape of the letter Shin is made up of three Vavs, joined at the base, each surmounted by a Yod. Tradition teaches that originally the Shin had not three but four branches, the additional branch representing the Olam haBa (Future World). According to other sources, the three-pointed Shin symbolizes the patriarchs, while the four-pointed one represents the matriarchs.
The Shin with three heads refers to the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, while the Shin with four heads refers to the matriarchs: Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah. The four-pointed Shin is inscribed on the tefillin of the head.
