The Menorah: The word "Menorah" comes from the prefix "Mé" indicating the provenance of a thing, associated with the Hebrew root Norah, Nourah, from Nour, Nor (flame) in the feminine.
Let: MéNoRah meaning “of the Flame”, “which comes from the Flame”; this flame according to the Kabbalah , is none other than the Schechinah.
Its original Y shape was drawn by Maimonides in one of his midrashic treatises: three straight branches in the east, three in the west and one in the center.
