Rabbi Chaim Pinto , Grand Tzaddik and Torah scholar was born in Agadir, Morocco in 1749. He was orphaned at the age of 10; he then immersed himself in the study of the Torah and became an undisputed master in Morocco. The reputation of Rabbi Haïm Pinto was so great that all of Morocco resounded with the miracles and wonders accomplished and this from a very young age.
Rabbi Chaim Pinto, of blessed memory, left this world on El 26, 5605 (September 28, 1845) at the age of 96. On the day of his death he promised his disciples that those who evoked his name on the day of his Hiloula would see their prayers answered.
